What to Do in Las Vegas After the Buffet

What to Do in Las Vegas After the Buffet

Okay, so you’ve enjoyed your buffet experience at Bellagio in Las Vegas. You’re full and sated, and everything’s right in the world. Now what?

You can, of course, just relax, maybe read a good book, watch some TV, or sleep. But you’re in Las Vegas, and you should maximize your stay by taking in everything that this sinful city offers. There’s always gambling, but what else can you do?

If you reserve your gambling for the day time and want to have some other type of fun at night, here are some things you can do (if you get your mind out of the gutter, if you know what we mean):

Bellagio Fountains

This is a good start to your evening if you’re already at Bellagio for the buffet. The Bellagio Fountains is one great sight that works nicely for the videos you can send your envious friends back home. You get the water dancing among the colorful lights, all choreographed to music.

A Las Vegas Night Tour

You can then go with the open bus tour at night, showing you many of the sights here in Sin City. There’s a tour that takes 3 hours, so that takes care of the rest of the evening for you (unless you’re a night owl and midnight is like noon for you).

With the open deck on top, you’re getting a great view of the city as the bus drives all over the Strip and the rest of the city. The included guide can tell you all about the landmarks you encounter. The tour generally has unlimited privileges for getting on and off, so you’re free to check out all the stops. You can even add on the 24-hour ticket, so you can really explore the Strip at your own pace.

Mirage Volcano

This is another light show that’s one of the best free things you can do here in Las Vegas. It’s right at the main entrance to Las Vegas Boulevard, so you should find it easily enough.

It sure is a sight to appreciate, especially if you’re with your whole family. It includes sophisticated explosions, with fireballs going up to 12 feet in the air. You’ll even feel the heat of the flames (though it’s very safe, obviously), and you’ll wonder why the smoke effects smell like a piña colada.

Enjoy the Nightlife at a Club

It shouldn’t surprise you that Las Vegas has plenty of party venues here. You really have lots of choices as to where you can go.

There’s the upscale Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay, where they’ll make you feel like a VIP (be sure to bring money, though). Or you can go to the MGM Grand and party at Hakkasan, where you’ll find the more famous DJs.

At Caesar’s Palace, you have the Omnia, where there’s also an outdoor terrace if you want some fresh air. And if you’re looking for live music, there’s also the multi-level Drai’s.

See a Show

A show is almost a must here at Las Vegas, like gambling and enjoying a buffet. There are music acts (even Elvis performed in Vegas), magic acts, comedians, and dance groups. If everyone in your group is of drinking age, there are classy burlesque shows as well.

Try the Axis, the Brooklyn Bowl and The Pearl. You can also check out the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Coliseum at Caesar’s Palace, and the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

When you’re in Las Vegas, boredom is not an option!
