About Shoney’s Buffet

Shoney’s was a drive-in restaurant that originally had “Shoney’s Big Boy” as its official brand name, only returning to Shoney’s in the 1950’s to set it apart from other drive-in restaurants.

Shoney’s buffet isn’t the same as other restaurants’. For starters, they only serve the buffet during breakfast, and for good reason: a lot of people are really hungry in the mornings (aside from the fact that breakfast is undoubtedly one of the most important meals of the day).

Shoney’s boasts about the fresh ingredients that they use in the kitchen. This means all the food prepared for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are certified fresh and subsequently nutritious. In a way, Shoney’s is a type of farm-to-table restaurant because of the freshness the restaurant guarantees.

They actually have a fresh food bar dedicated to customers who want to binge on food the healthy way. The fresh food bar is complete with entrées, main dishes that are either seafood, chicken, select cuts, and more.

It’s not only food that’s present at Shoney’s. They also have liquor: from classic Budweiser beers to wines and their newest alcoholic venture, the Shonjito. Customers should try the Shonjito at least once.

Since buffet restaurants are having a hard time during the pandemic, they have to make sure they’re operational despite the many regulations and restrictions present. However, Shoney’s is doing an excellent job of making sure customers are well-fed and that the risk for coronavirus is low.

Shoney’s is a good dining place to go for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because of their great food and the clean, relaxed ambiance. The collective efforts of the people behind Shoney’s is what has made the franchise go past the 70 year mark, and there’s no signs of slowing down.
