Are You Ready for the Brand New Bacchanal Buffet?

As the US eases its restrictions on indoor dining, buffets are one of the things that are coming back. This, of course, is a big deal especially in Las Vegas, the land of some of the most decadent buffet spreads. After a year of being closed or having limited operations, people are looking forward to indulging themselves with a wide array of dishes.

On May 1, Nevada’s Clark County lifted its restrictions for traditional buffets. The county has been easing restrictions since April and deemed it safe to allow dining establishments to allow more dine-in patrons. This pushed the largest buffet restaurant in town to schedule their grand comeback.

As many fans would know, like other buffet restaurants in Vegas, the Bacchanal Buffet’s operations were shut down by the pandemic more than a year ago. While lots of other buffets already re-opened in the later part of 2020 with table service, Bacchanal Buffet did not follow suit.

What it did instead is they took advantage of the time off by renovating their space and doing a lot of remodeling. This is why the reopening of the Bacchanal became highly anticipated. Not only did the public miss the restaurants’ offerings but they now have an additional new experience to look forward to since the renovations promised a lot of new things.

What’s New at Bacchanal?

So what are the new things and the changes you can expect to see at the all new Bacchanal Buffet? Here are some of the most notable examples:

Reservations only for non-Caesars Rewards Seven Star guests

Technically, Clark County only allows restaurants to fill only up to 80% of their seating capacity so diners aren’t really in full swing yet. So despite the loosening of restrictions,  there are still some measures that restaurants need to enforce to ensure safety. One way to do this is by limiting the patrons inside the facility so Bacchanal is not allowing walk-ins yet. Only their VIPs can saunter in without reservations, so if you’re not one, it’s best to book a slot in advance.

90-minutes time limit

Before the pandemic, the Bacchanal already implements a 2-hour time limit. However, due to the limited seating of the place, they shortened the time limit to 90 minutes. Some people are having issues about this, to be honest, as there’s so many different food options to try and enjoy.

Sanitizer dispensers in between food stations

Since the pandemic is still not over, safety precautions are still highly necessary to be observed. This is why hand sanitizer dispensers are placed in between food stations so people can clean their hands in between dishes.

30 new dishes

Taking things up a notch is Bacchanal’s addition of 30 new dishes to their menu. So if you want to have loads of options, this buffet might just suit your preferences with its massive spread

Mezze bar

Bacchanal Buffet’s nine food stations have a new addition in the form of the Mezze bar. This features some Western Asian, Balkans, and North African delicacies that are perfect as appetizers. They’re great dishes to kick off a feast.

If you’re one of those who missed spending time in a buffet, a visit to the Bacchanal might just be the best way to get back in the groove.
