4 Underrated Las Vegas Buffets

Go to Las Vegas in search of the terrific buffets, and a quick Google search will get you names like Bacchanal, The Buffet at Bellagio, and Wicked Spoon. These are all famous buffets, and you can’t say that their fame is undeserved. These places are just terrific.

But there are plenty of other buffets in Las Vegas. Many of them aren’t as famous, but they really should be better known among buffet fans. Try them out, and you may become a fan yourself.

1. Via Brasil Steakhouse

Okay, this may not be quite like the Las Vegas buffet that you’re used to. That’s because it’s actually a Brazilian steakhouse, located in West Valley. But they do offer a rodizio style of all-you-can-eat. The servers roam the dining room with skewers of steak and seafood. They’ll get to your table, and then slice off as many pieces of the food as you can deal with. The food can include chicken breast, lamb chops, salmon, and ribeye.

There’s also a self-serve buffet section, where you can for small bites, including side dishes and salads. Then there’s a happy hour each day on the patio at 5pm, with discounts for a la carte bites and drinks.

2. Garden Buffet

You can find this place (Garden Buffet) in the off-Strip South Point casino, near Silverado Ranch. If you’ve been here before, perhaps a few years ago, you may find that some things have changed. The place underwent a huge renovation a year even before the start of the Covid crisis.

Today, you can find 6 live cooking stations, which includes a Mongolian grill. For breakfast on a weekday, you can get bottomless Bloody Marys. On the weekend, you can enjoy the prime rib and champagne brunch, and you also get bottomless mimosas. For the Seafood Night Fridays, you can get 2 glasses of draft beer, sangria or wine.

3. Makino Sushi & Seafood Buffet

This is also off the Strip, and can be found west of the Strip south of Chinatown. This place was founded by Kaku Mashino, and if you’ve heard of the guy, you know this place will be good.

As you might have expected, you’ll find a lot of seafood and sushi. You can get your fill of fried shrimp, squid, fish filets, and hand rolls made on the spot. At the ramen station, you can choose your own ingredients. On weekends, you can also go for the bottomless snow crab legs. Finish things off with the Asian-style desserts.

4. Taj Palace

This is widely regarded as among the best Indian restaurants in Sin City, and here they offer a daily brunch buffet from 11am to 3pm. This is a great place to practice your all-you-can-eat skills, if you’re into signature dishes such as kabobs, lamb biryani, and chicken tikka masala.

The health-conscious diners may appreciate that Taj Palace uses organic ingredients and gluten-free recipes whenever possible. Try lots of the spicy sauces and curries, and mix them in the same plate. Even if the result is quite spicy, you can always cool things down with the mango lassi, which is a thick combo of yogurt, milk, and fruit.
